2005, the Year of Brazil in France

Mission in Amazonia
The Guayapi tropical team went to Amazonia as part of the « warana » programme. The Satéré Mawé tribe welcomed our team in order to see that the bio diversified lands are respected as well as the results of the fair trade and the restoration of the ecosystem.

After “Envoyé Spécial” on cosmetics, we have had positive feedback. Guayapi received many encouragements from customers and other people who are now aware of the development of natural products.

Fair trade’s fortnight
From the 1st May to the 15th May, fair trade’s fortnight will offer the opportunity to meet all participants in fair trade. Consumers are more and more conscious of “another way of consumption“. Everywhere in France , a lot of local markets will propose products from fair trade. Conferences will be planned to increase public awareness and inform about the role of fair trade. For the occasion, the chief of the Satéré Mawé tribe will participate in a conference on the 10th May 2005 .
